March round up

 

march's many themes 

During march the theme catherine and danielles group were exploring was around the world , the children got to explore different countries from the globe the first one was france they learned how to say hello in french ,they learned that each country has a flag , they also learned about famous landmarks like the Eiffel tower and disney land paris ,

The second country was Australia we looked at how hot it is in Australia ,we also learned about the special animals that are native to Australia like the kangaroo and the koala ,we learned to say "good day". And some of the children knew people living in Australia. 

The third country we explored was Ireland , and as we were about to celebrate St Patrick's Day it was a good opportunity to learn about where we live ,we learned about our flag ,the irish language , about st Patrick's day parades ,and we played some irish music and learned about leprechaun's.

It was a very interesting topic with so much to explore.

Linda and Maria's group

Linda and Maria's group have had a great month they have been learning about life cycles they have explored the life cycle of a frog , a plant and a chicken life cycle , the children found it amazing how the frog transforms and grows legs.

Linda made a lovely frog themed tuff tray for the children to explore.

we also had mothers day and patricks day this month, we talked about ireland and parades we made some wonderful art around st patricks day . we also spoke about our mammies and how special they are ,they all had lovely things to say about their mams.

we also finished our final week of talk boost ,which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children.

This month we also had pancake tuesday and we made pizzas for lunch. The children are always making playdough pizzas so we made some real ones ,the children loved them.
