 First Aid /Visit to fire station / Trip to Festina Lenta 

WOW what a busy month we have had this month ! 

We started off with a visit to Festina Lenta for some spooky fun we build a bug hotel and we also designed some pumpkin's we tasted some lovely herbs and we got to bring some home.    

 

We took a trip to the local fire station we got to try on a firefighters  uniform we learned all about the great service that the fire crew provide to us all in Bray . We got to sit in their brand new fire engine.   

This week we all took part in a first aid course we learned all about CPR and how to perform it we also learned all about the dangers of fireworks and bonfires we learned how to call emergency services  and we also learned how to check our fire alarms at home . 

We finished off the  month with our Halloween party 😏Happy Halloween and mid term to all  our families stay safe 💖💕

The Marian Centre in Greenpark Rd is a well-established community Pre-School within the North end of Bray.  

 

Main Duties:

·         To maintain a hygienic, tidy, and comfortable environment in the Centre

·         Prepare healthy snacks for Pre-School Children

·         Monitor grocery, household, and cleaning supplies

·         Shop for After-School and Pre-School services

·         To work alongside the Pre-School team in planning menus, healthy eating food themed activities and trips

Desirable :

·         First Aid, HACCP (training will be provided by the service if you do not have any of these)

·         Experience in similar role

Essential:

·         Own car

·         Motivated and can work collaboratively and independently.

 

Hours: 9.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)

 

This position is funded through Community Services Programme (CSP) people eligible to apply must be in receipt of Social Welfare benefit.

September is nearly out and here in Ravenswell in after-school the children have all settled in and are busy with activities and getting to know each other.

GP Pre-School September - Karen & Rebeccas AM Group

 September  😀

What a wonderful September we have all had! All our children are getting really settled into the new morning routine, making friendships and enjoying some wonderful activities :)

In Rebecca and Karen's group they have been learning about snails, the importance of washing our hands, going for a walk to the swans and then making their own swans. Towards the end of September the children have been baking as well as taking a nature walk to gather up some conkers to paint with and leaves to print with.

 September was a busy month for us in After-school,  we completed a Lego challenge with St. Peters and Ravenswell  Afterschool Clubs. T

he challenge was to design and  create a well known landmark . The children enjoyed doing the challenge and put a lot of work into it.

 Well done to Mya who was the winner in our Afterschool and well done to  all who took part !  We will be running lots more challenges in the coming months . 

We welcomed our Junior infants to After-school this month and they have all settled in nicely. Junior and Senior infants enjoyed some sensory play and  the children are also are loving our new chill out room with its beanbags and lending library !
