The Marian Centre CLG, Greenpark Rd,  Bray, Co. Wicklow

The Marian Centre is well established Community based Childcare Project that works with the community in the greater Bray area.

 We are looking to recruit a Part Time Early Years Educator to work in our Pre-School, 20 hours per week 8.45am – 12.45am.

ESSENTAIL:

·         Applicants must hold a QQI Level 7/8 qualification in childcare with a minimum of 3 years experience

·         Have an in-depth Knowledge of Siolta and Aistear, Child Protection guidelines and the Childcare Act.

·         All applicants should be able to demonstrate dedication, flexibility, initiative and an ability to develop a strong, non judgemental and supportive rapport with children, parents and colleagues.

·         Have a strong ability to work as part of a team

DESIRABLE:

·         Occupational First Aid certification

·         Community based experience

·         Experience of working in partnership with families 

·         Have a good knowledge of disadvantage communities.

 

This position is a part-time position funded by the Community Services program, so it would be desirable for the applicant to be in receipt of applicable social welfare benefit (Job Seekers, Lone Parent), but this is not essential.
