January Activities Pre-School BW

January Pre-school Highlights

During January the children in Catherine and Danielle's group explored the Arctic theme, as you can see they really enjoyed learning about the animals the climate and the people who live in the arctic region. It was a very fitting theme as our own weather was also incredibly cold, the children did some wonderful art activities and made polar bears, arctic foxes, and Eskimo's.

The children loved the sensory ice activity it gave them an insight in to how cold ice is and how cold the arctic environment is. They also loved the challenge of trying to free the animals from the ice.

During January the children in Linda and Maria's group learned about the rainforest they learned about the animals, where they live and what they eat. They learned the amazon is the biggest rainforest in the world and the importance of the rainforest trees and how they help to clean the air.

The boys and girls also enjoyed our rainforest tuff tray they had great fun playing with the animals and making little habitats for them. They also made some great art work around the theme ,my favorite was their  lovely parrots the boys and girls used beautiful colors.
