Catherine's and Linda's pods were super busy this morning!

Planting seeds getting in the Halloween spirit! The children were really interested and loved getting their hands into the soil,  each child had to fill up their own planting cup with soil and then sprinkle the pumpkin seeds in. They decided to put them on the window ledges to help them grow ♡

You can see form the pictures just how engaged the children were in this activity. Activities that really capture children attention can help with developing skills such as concentration, focus, sharing, listening and working together as a team. All of these skills the children are showing you in these pictures. 

Messy play is so essential for development and provides wonderful learning experiences,  we learned about texture, measurements,  planting and nurturing the seeds. Planting can be a therapeutic experience for some children as the soil provides a connection with nature and the 🌎
