😆Dinosaurs, Clay and Baking💕💕
Linda's pod were so busy this week, volcanoes made from clay, painting our volcanic clay pieces, dinosaur swamps and even baking too! They have been so busy!
Dinosaurs in a swamp going swimming, children have wonderful imagination, following their lead and allowing opportunities for spontaneous play is a wonderful way to understand and develop their interests.
Clay volcanoes.
This was a tactile sensory activity and helps in promoting manipulation skills and is also a great therapeutic experience, through squeezing and pressing the clay children can release anxiety or tension they may be feeling.
We worked as a team and made delicious shortbread, yummy 😋
Baking with children this young exposes them to early mathematical ideas and skills around volume, weight and counting. It also helps to develop independence, confidence and concentration, through turn taking and listening.
